EU Commissioner for Climate Action Connie Hedegaard was clearly impressed of what se saw when she visited Poseidon 37 on the 26th of August 2010. Floating Power Plant has been able to combine basic research with new technology in close cooperation with knowledge institutions. Taking it from there to a real power plant of the size I see here today is an remarkable achievement, said the commissioner, mentioning the huge perspective in exploiting not the least wave energy.
The fact, that a high ranking official and internationally esteemed person like Commissioner Hedegaard could find time to visit Floating Power Plant, makes us not only proud, says FPP Chairman of the Board, Erik Schulz, it also confirms our view, that Poseidon is a technological solution beyond the ordinary.
